Seth has become a pretty big fan of building Legos.  I'm impressed with what he builds.  Yesterday he was building ships so I took a picture of one of them.  Then he wanted me to take a picture of him every time he built something.  He said, "You know that Lego magazine, my picture could be in it with my Legos that I make."
For Father's Day we fixed roast for lunch which is one of Joshua's favorite meals-especially when it's made the way his mom makes it.  We made chocolate chip cookies (mostly so he could he the dough), went to Dairy Queen for an ice cream dinner and Brooke made an impressive scavenger hunt.  So these pictures are of him reading his map, finding his treasures which were cards, candy, money, cashews, coupons for pes and qeit (peace and quiet), and there were targets to shoot along the way (thus the reason he's holding the gun) and lots of little signs that said good job posted around the house.  She spent days planning and working on this gift for him.  The boys had made cards and he found those treasures too.
A proud daddy with his children on Father's Day.
Luke is now sharing a room with Seth.  They got bunkbeds for Christmas.  This was Luke's last nap in his crib.  After reading the children's book Let Me Hold You Longer by Karen Kingsbury I think more about their lasts instead of just their firsts.
This Spring the kids and I carefully planted 3 packs of seeds in planters.  We had a few extra sunflower seeds so we threw them out in the yard.  Brooke then pushed them in the ground and started watering them.  This is the sunflower seed that sprouted and the only thing that grew from all of our planting.  It's now over 5 feet tall and has 2 bloooms.  Looks like Seth is protecting it with his sword attached.
Thank you God for giving us each other.

At the end of t-ball season Seth's team had a pizza party at the splash pad in Crowley.  He's holding his trophy.  This is the first trophy he's gotten.  The next day he dusted it.  Before Coach started passing them out he said, "Oh, I hope I get a trophy."  He seemed nervous that he might not get one.  It was pretty sweet.
Go Cardinals!
Flowers....one big reason why Brooke is looking forward to her next ballet recital.  This was the first time in her life to receive flowers.  Joshua got her a bouquet, Aunt Jill and family got her a bouquet and Maw Maw and Paw Paw got her a bouquet.  She held them and admired them all the way home.  She definitely thought she was a princess.
Luke, Paw Paw and Seth waiting for Brooke's ballet recital to begin.  Luke pretty much ate his way
through the whole 2 hour show.  They did a great job watching.
Brooke's ballet rehearsal
This cute little puppy is made from Legos.  There were lots of animals made from Legos.  Luke really likes puppies.
Can you be a Rock Star with a guitar made from Legos?
Luke's got his glasses on ready to watch the 4D movie at Legoland.
There was a miniature version of the DFW area made from Legos.  It was very impressive.  This is the Cowboys Stadium.
A ride at Legoland
Maw Maw and Paw Paw came to visit us and while they were here we went to Legoland at Grapevine Mills Mall.

It was Crazy Hat night at Kid Power Camp (Wedgwood's version of Vacation Bible School).  Brooke spent the afternoon decorating her cowboy hat and Seth wore a doo rag (I don't know how you spell that).  They thought they were going to go to KPC every night this summer.  They had a really, really fun time.

Luke with his cousin Brennan.  Kendall and his family came and spent the night with us
so they could watch one of Seth's t-ball games.
Cool fun on a hot summer day
Luke is wearing my high school prom shoes.
Won't he love this picture when he gets older?!
We start looking forward to Memorial Day weekend back in September when the pool closes, because Memorial Day weekend is when it opens again.  We had a pizza picnic at the pool and went swimming.  We'll spend lots of days at the pool this summer.
May 30, 2011 was our 13th wedding anniversary.  We spent two days and one night away in the DFW area celebrating.
We gave Grandma Earnie her Mother's Day gift when she came to visit us over Memorial Day weekend.  Brooke had decorated the wrapping paper.
Grandma Earnie reading to Seth and Luke.  She flew from Missouri to spend five night with us!  It was a really fun time for all of us.  When I was putting Seth to bed after she left he told me that he really missed Grandma Earnie.
Everyone made their own pizza for Friday Family Fun night.

Today was Brooke's Ballet Banquet at Rio Mambo Mexican Restaurant.  She received her very first trophy.  It was  for her 1st year in ballet.  We also had a big surprise when she was the ballet student honored for Outstanding Achievement in Ballet.  She made a lot of progress since she started last September.  It's been a great experience.  We have one class left before her recital.  Joshua and I are so very proud of her.  She came to class each week prepared with everything she needed for class, a beautiful smile and great listening.
This is Mrs. Sallie who owns Salle's School of Dance.
