We had our family pictures taken January 15.  I have posted some of them.  I was really pleased with them.  Ms. Michelle our photographer made us feel like movie stars, she snapped so many shots.  Brooke and Seth requested that a picture be taken of them while they were kissing.  Ms. Michelle actually wrote us a thank you card when she gave us our CD of pictures.  It was very encouraging that she enjoyed taking our pictures.
Luke's got a bit of a stomach bug so I gave him a popsicle.  Seth asked if he could please have an ice pickle too.  He knew he didn't say it right but the right words just wouldn't come.

We went to Chick-Fil-A for Friday Family Fun night.  Everyone had ice cream.  When Seth was eating his he ate too much too fast.  He grabbed his chest and said bless my heart.  Grandma Earnie often blesses everyone's heart but not because they ate cold ice cream too fast.  She says it just because she's sweet.

Today the kids and I were driving in the van on our way to the post office and then to the park and play.  Thank you God for sunshine today!  We've been inside a lot the past couple of weeks because of cold weather so it was great to be outside and make sure everyone got some sunshine and exercise.  So the conversation went like this.

Brooke-Mommy, can you guess what I want to be when I grow up?
Mommy-A mommy?
Brooke-No

(I was a little disappointed when she said no because she's said she wants to be a mommy almost everytime you ask her for a long time no.)

So I went through all of my other guesses a teacher, ballerina, etc.

She said you haven't guessed it at all.  Do you want me to tell you?  Oh, please tell me I said.

She said when I grow up I want to be a christian.  To which I replied you don't have to grow up to be a christian you can be a christian when you're little.  Then she said but do you have to get bapitized (yes, I spelled it correctly-it has an extra syllable when she says it)  I told her we get baptized to be obedient to God and show the world that we are glad we know Jesus.  She's thinking she's too shy to do that but she might do that when she's older.  I told her that would be fine.  You don't have to get baptized to be a christian.

Seth piped up and told her that that would be a big  'sponsibility.  You have to go to the whoooooole world and tell people about Jesus if you're a christian.

So, thank you God for another opportunity to teach our children about you.  Thank you for allowing me to spend my days with them.  May all that I say and do point them to you.

This morning at breakfast Brooke wanted to ask me a question but she said I might not know the answer.  The first part of the question was where did I go on my honeymoon and the second part of the question was what did I do on my honeymoon.  Surprisingly : ) enough I was able to answer both questions.

We went to the Stock Show Parade on Saturday, January 15th. Kendall and his family came to Ft. Worth to spend the day with us enjoying the Stock Show and Rodeo.  This was just a very friendly clown.  Unfortunately, I don't have a lot more pictures from that day.  I dropped our camera at the parade and I think it might be done.

What a fun weekend we had. On Friday we got to watch Seth in his Little Gym Show.  We were so proud of him.  Ms. Tish, his teacher actually said he is by far her best student.  We were really proud of Seth.  He does a great job listening in class.  One time in class this semester she was going to lift him up on the high bars but he turned to her and said he needed a man.  He didn't think Ms. Tish was big enough to do that.  It was really, really funny.  PaPa John and Grandma Earnie were even here to watch Seth's show!
Last week Brooke gave me an invitation she had written.  She invited me to a tea party with her.  Sometimes I wonder if it's the tea party with me or the yummy things she gets to eat (like Chips Ahoy) and drinking chocolate milk.  Anyway, I don't mind if it is just for the food.  I enjoy every sweet minute of tea parties with Brooke.  I've actually printed out pictures from all of the tea parties we've had together.  I'm going to do something with them.

Seth is Snake Eyes in this picture.  Seth spends almost everyday dressing up as something.  I love it!  Luke really likes wearing hats.
Well, here goes my first blogging experience.  I have decided to try it out this year as a way of journaling our lives (especially all the things the kids do) and letting friends and family see pictures.  I hope it is a wise use of my time.  The minutes are valuable and never regained.  My desire is to spend my time wisely so that time with God is a priority and making the most of my sweet time with Joshua and our children.

The first pictures were taken on a January Sunday morning before we went to church.  People tell us we have cute kids.  I've decided that 2 average looking people make pretty cute kids.  :)
