Lohbergschule-where Brooke and Seth go to school (schule is school in German)

I took the kids to the school playground soon after arriving to help them get comfortable with being there.

You either spin each other on this or try to stand up and run on it without falling off while you are making it go around.

This is such a neat room attached to Seth's classroom.

July 2013-Schillerwiese

This is a big fun park that takes about 10 minutes to walk to from our place.  We have been there several times.

I think someone had just got married and they were taking pictures.

One of our first attempts to talk and play with German speaking children.  They were kind and knew a little English.

Grocery Shopping

,Since we are walking everywhere, every one helps carry groceries home.

We thought it was so funny that even in Germany they say things are big in Texas.

Ja is the store brand and every ja product has tasted good to us.  The quantities are smaller than in the U.S.

I about cried the first few visits to the store because of the German language that I don't know too well-but it's getting easier to shop.

Bismarckturm

We walked through the forest and up lots of trails to get to the Bismarckturm.

Then on another day it was open and we went to the top.  It was a great view of Göttingen and the surrounding area.

We walk a few steps outside of our apartment and there is a huge forest full of paths to explore.

Seth's bed has a big drawer underneath. We have mostly Legos stored there.  The windows can crack at the top or open into the room.
