April 4-7, 2014-Amsterdam

We haven't had the opportunity to eat much Mexican this year. I was pretty excited Paw Paw found this restaurant in Amsterdam.
Canals of Amsterdam
We took a bus tour that took us to windmills, wooden shoemaking, a cheese factory and the tulip tours.
First stop, windmills of Holland
We were able to go inside a windmill.  It is still used for wood cutting.  It was a really neat demonstration.

Then to the store where they demonstrated making wooden shoes.
We even got to try some on, they're a pretty good fit if you have a high arch.

Walking through a village that used to be an island.

We took this boat to Volendam to a cheese factory.  Which one of these is different?  (Luke)
Fishing boats along the way

Then back on the bus to see the beautiful flowers.

Last stop, Keukenhof.  Millions of beautiful flowers

When we left, Luke said it was kinda girly.
We found a bakery that we visited every morning for breakfast.  Nutella in the perfect size.
We toured Amsterdam by canal.
I amsterdam, an iconic symbol of Amsterdam.
What a cute little car
This is the Rijks Museum, home of much famous Dutch art.

Then we visited the Van Gogh Museum.  The kids had a scavenger hunt that they followed by answering questions about art throughout the museum.
